Oktoberfest, festivals, Christmas markets – Traditions and customs are still very important in Unterneukirchen. We wear our traditional dress at beer festivals and sometimes if we celebrate family events. At town fairs, jazz nights and high-quality cultural events we like to set modern accents. Here in Upper Bavaria it's a mix of traditions and modernity.

Something is happening all year round:
- Carnival Parades in February for example in Mühldorf am Inn … We know how to celebrate carnival in Upper Bavaria!
- International Jazz Week in Burghausen, in March with big artists from the international jazz scene.
- Spring & Easter: "Passion" concert at Easter and during the 3-day Whitsun holidays with the arrival of thousands of pilgrims in Altötting.
- Setting up the Maypole on May 1st: A Maypole is standard in every Bavarian town. The setting of the Maypole is actively celebrated, e.g. in Altötting, Niederbergkirchen, Burgkirchen, Burghausen …
- Burghauser Mai-Wiesn, the town fair and beer festival in Burghausen in May: attracts young and old. Visit Burghausen during your vacation!
- Hofdult in Altötting: The Hofdult in Altötting has been celebrated for more than 600 Years. It's an authentic folk festival with a great atmosphere in the beer tents and lots of fun on the fairgrounds.
- Town fairs in summer, e.g. the Old Town Festival in Mühldorf am Inn, the city festivals in Waldkraiburg and Töging am Inn
- Sommer Jazz Night in Burghausen: Enjoy the music and street festival in June.
- Raiffeisen Kultursommer, the Culture Sommer at the race track in Mühldorf am Inn and at the Kapellplatz in Altötting.
- Monastery Markets, e.g.in Altötting and in the Raitenhaslach Monastery in Burghausen.
- Sommerfestival, the summer festival in the Haberkasten courtyard in Mühldorf am Inn with first-class artists.
- Garden Days: at the Tüßling Castle with 190 booths and garden concerts. A good reason for a vacation here!
- Waldkraiburger Volksfest, the folk festival in Waldkraiburg: Waldkraiburgs big celebration day.
- Castle festival in Burghausen: Second weekend in July. The fortress is decorated and there are lot's of artists.
- A summer full of concerts in Burghausen: Reknowned artists and great concert events in Burghausen.
- Traditional folk festival in Mühldorf: Fairground atmosphere since 1865. Take a short detour to Mühldorf during your vacation.
- Fall festival in Haag: Festive celebrations in 3 fairground tents.
- The St. Leonhard Procession on the 1st weekend after All Souls' Day in November: thousands of visitors take part in this event in Erlbach and Kirchweihdach.
- Further events take place all year in the Town Hall and in Haberkasten in Mühldorf as well as in the Kultur + Kongress Forum in Altötting.
- Christmas Markets in the region: in Altötting, in Mühldorf, in Ampfing, in Burghausen and Halsbach...
- Advent singing in Altötting in an Alpine style in December in the St. Anna Basilica. A tradition that has been kept up for over 50 years.
