Sightseeing close to Unterneukirchen
- Tüßling Castle (approx. 7 km away): A wonderfully preserved Renaissance castle. The castle itself is not open to visit but there are many events that take place, such as the yearly Garden Days, the romantic Christmas markets and open-air concerts.
- Pilgrimage town Altötting (approx. 9 km): The black Madonna attracts more than one million visitors per year to the "Gnaden"- Chapel, the spiritual centre of the town. In the pilgrim museum you can see the world-famous Maria altar and the bridal wreath of the Austrian empress, Sissi.
- Mühldorf am Inn (approx. 15 km): Mühldorf, with its historical town square, is one of the most beautiful towns in Upper Bavaria.
- Burghausen (18 km): With the world's longest castle (1,051 m) and the old town, which is protected as an historical monument, Burghausen is one of the jewels of the area. The Fortress Christmas is worth a visit in winter.

- Salzburg (approx. 65 km): Mozart city, enjoy the beautiful view of the town and the mountains from the Hohensalzburg Fortress, check out the Hellbrunn Castle and its fountains. The old town of Salzburg is a Unesco World Heritage Site.
- Berchtesgaden (approx. 87 km): The Bavarian Forest and the Berchtesgaden National Park offer unspoilt nature and idyllic landscapes. And the salt mine is a fascinating underground experience.
- Passau (approx. 92 km): 3 rivers and a baroque old town add to the charm of this city. The fortress Vest Oberhaus, Stephan's Cathedral and the three river corner are just a few of the sights.
- Munich (approx. 100 km): Stroll through the Viktualien Market, drink a coffee in the English Garden, visit the "Woman" Church - the city's landmark - climb the tower of the Peters Church from where you can enjoy the Glockenspiel of the Town Hall.
- The Alps: ride the cable car from Marquartstein (approx. 56 km) and capture the impressive view of the Alps while hiking.
