Vacation in Altötting:  Reflection & Inspiration for your mind

The most important Maria pilgrimage destination in Germany.

The need for deceleration, contemplation, peace and quiet can be satisfied quite naturally on vacation near Altötting. For over 500 years, Altötting has been considered Germany's most important place of pilgrimage to the Virgin Mary, and the Black Madonna in the small chapel of grace in the heart of the town radiates a special power. People from all over the world make pilgrimages to this place to "arrive" here.

The Capuchin Church of St. Conrad with the reliquary of St. Conrad of Parzham is another place of spiritual interest. When visiting Altötting, you should also take time for the "Treasury with Pilgrimage Museum" in the house of Pope Benedict XVI and the Jerusalem Panorama with the Crucifixion of Christ.

By the way, from May to October there are important pilgrimages in Altötting and processions with lights on Saturdays.
